Why I Didn't Like Shogun 2

Total War: Shogun 2 is a strategy video game developed by The Creative Assembly and published by Sega. It is the latest installment in the Total War series in a 16th-century Japan setting. The game was released on 15 March 2011.

I didn't like Shogun 2 due to several reasons:
  • There are only nine factions to play as.
  • There is a limited variety of units to use in battle, especially naval battles.
  • The whole game is slow paced and seems too calculated at times.
  • There is a lot of waiting involved; AI moves take a while, creating or building things take several turns.
  • The beginning of new games are very rigid and unchanging.
This game got great reviews, but I've tried it and don't think I will buy anymore games in the series.

Diablo III

Diablo III is a dark fantasy/horror-themed action role-playing PC game in the making by Blizzard. It will be the third installment in the Diablo franchise. The game, which contains elements of the hack and slash and dungeon crawl genres, is to be released in North America and Europe on May 15, 2012.

Diablo 3 Trailer by GameCreds

The Diablo series has been very popular among PC gamers. I, personally, have not played any of the games, but have heard from many people that they are very good. Do you enjoy the role-playing game genre? What are your favorite types of games?

Welcome

Welcome to my blog about PC games. Here we will be examining current and past games, well received and hated alike, by talking about their distinctive qualities and rating them. We will also be discussing some highly anticipated games that are set to come out in the near future.

I've only recently became interested in PC gaming; it was in 2010 that I began to understand that a well-made computer could do more than just surf the web, watch videos, and open up Word documents. Currently, my favorite computer games include:
  1. Company of Heroes (2006)
  2. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (2006)
  3. Minecraft (2009)
  4. Stronghold Crusader (2002)
  5. Crysis 2 (2011)
  6. Sid Meier's Civilization V (2010)
